This weekend we will be back in Ellijay for a one day blowout sale! This sale is on the smaller side but still lots of fun items.
Due to limited parking and in hopes of alleviating some of the traffic on Saturday, we will open the home for two hours on Friday and offer our Newsletter subscribers the opportunity to shop. A video walk-through of the home will be posted to our Facebook page Friday evening. Visit https://www.estatesales.net/GA/Ellijay/30540/4512105 for additional details and directions. Growing up in Ellijay I always admired the Garland home that could be seen when driving down River Street. As a child playing on the primary school playground, I imagined the front pasture full of horses and that my favorite book character lived there just waiting to step outside.
I'm sure many kids have imagined many things about the home as they played on the playground at the school. We were honored when the family contacted us and asked us to host an Estate Sale. Our crew enjoyed the chance to see the home up close and now we are ready to invite you to come shop on March 28 and 29! This sale has a variety of items ranging from antiques to music equipment. For full list of items and pictures please visit: https://www.estatesales.net/GA/Ellijay/30540/4422114 Whew! What a busy month it has been of sorting and pricing our "Eureka! Pickers Paradise found!" Estate Sale. Each room held so many treasures that we had a hard time displaying them all.
But don't just take my word for it! Come see for yourself October 3-5 in Ellijay. As always the address will be posted to Estatesales . net 24 hours before the sale. For directions and full details please visit: https://www.estatesales.net/GA/Ellijay/30540/4215825 This week we will be back in Blue Ridge for a ONE Day only sale! Come see us Friday August 23 and check out all the fun finds! Lots of vintage items: games, cameras, cookware and so much more!

https://www.estatesales.net/GA/Ellijay/30536/4128870 Of course we love a junk to treasure find or a good repurpose. Iris and I always say when we are not hosting sales we like to shop Estate Sales.... and this is true. This past summer on a trip to Kentucky we visited several antique shops and flea markets. At one stop I found several vintage enamel lids. The lids were not in the best shape but for $1 each I thought I might find some use for them. A couple months later I was looking at my entry way and realized I needed something on that blank wall. But nothing that would stick out far.... and what came to mind.... those old enamel lids I had brought home and cleaned up. A few command strips and they were up on the wall. They add some character to this space and are definitely unique. What have you found a new use for? We would love for you to share with us!
What do you think when you hear Estate Sale? I personally think treasures! Because at an Estate Sale you never know what you will find.
An Estate Sale is defined as a way of liquidating the belongings of a family or estate. These are usually much more than garage or yard sales. They are used when someone is in need of a way to sell items due to downsizing, moving, divorce, bankruptcy, or death. Whether you are a shopper or potential seller please follow us to stay informed of future sales! This week lets talk about shopping Estate Sales! Let's face it shopping Estate Sales is fun..... or at least we think it should be! So what tips do we have for our shoppers? 1. Don't be in a hurry - most sales have so many items it is hard to see them all the first walk thru. When you arrive at a sale maybe take a quick walk thru to get a lay of the sale or to locate a specific item you may have seen pictured. Then slow down and take another walk thru. It's on that second walk thru you may find that hidden treasure! 2. Bring a Bag - bring a bag you can put your finds in as you walk thru the sale so that your hands are free to dig thru bins and look closer at items of interest (other estate sale companies may not allow bags so check before you shop). We do offer a holding table but for small items sometimes having a bag is more convenient. 3. Pay With Cash - in order to get the best deal prepare ahead by stopping at the ATM. We accept Credit Cards but there is an additional 3.5% fee. This really does not add up to much but you do save money by paying with cash. 4. Be Kind & Courteous - remember this is someone's home. Be kind and try to treat it as you would want your home to be treated. 5. Have Fun! - Most importantly have fun! Bring a friend. Make a day of it. Have fun! Have a tip we may have missed? Let us know! |
